From June 16 to 18, the Fourth Shenyang Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo was grandly held at the Huangsi Cultural Square in Beishichang, Heping District, showcasing performances and exhibits from more than 150 intangible cultural heritage projects across the city. Zhongjie Daguo, representing Shenhe District, attended this prestigious event.
Zhongjie Daguo, one of China’s earliest indigenous chilled-dessert brands, has been inextricably linked with the historic city of Shenyang since its inception in 1946, sharing more than half a century of history with this vibrant metropolis. Today, Zhongjie Daguo has become a symbol of Shenyang’s culinary culture; its distinctive flavor is etched into the collective memory of Shenyang residents. Originating on Zhongjie Street—the city’s time-honored thoroughfare—Zhongjie Daguo has since expanded beyond Shenyang, enjoying widespread popularity across Liaoning Province, the three northeastern provinces, and eventually throughout the nation. Its rich, velvety milkiness instantly evokes cherished moments of simple, heartfelt happiness. More than just a treat, Zhongjie Daguo reflects the generous, down-to-earth character of Shenyang’s people, embodies the city’s profound gastronomic heritage, and captures their enduring pursuit of a sweet, fulfilling life.
Over 70 years of dedicated development, Zhongjie Big Fruit has evolved from plain fruit to wax-paper packaging and now to its current transparent packaging; meanwhile, Zhongjie Ice Cream has grown from this flagship product into a portfolio boasting dozens of best-selling items. While the product lineup has continually diversified, the uncompromising quality has remained steadfast. In particular, the newly launched Ai Mei Li Rose Lychee Ice Cream has quickly won the hearts and favor of Shenyang residents thanks to its unique and innovative flavor combination and rich, delicious taste.
Looking ahead, “Zhongjie Bingdian” will continue to uphold the mission entrusted to it by Shenyang, this city steeped in history, striving to carve out its own distinctive and unforgettable presence in the vibrant and diverse cold-drink industry.
