Dear Customer:
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support and trust in our company’s products. In accordance with the requirements of GB 7718-2025 “National Food Safety Standard: General Rules for Labeling of Prepackaged Foods” and GB 28050-2025 “National Food Safety Standard: General Rules for Nutrition Labeling of Prepackaged Foods,” our company will, effective immediately, upgrade the design of our product packaging based on the existing layout. The main changes are as follows:
1. The “Production Date” label on the original packaging has been changed to “Best Before.”
For example, under the old labeling, the shelf life is 18 months and the production date is September 1, 2025, requiring consumers to calculate the expiration date themselves; under the new labeling, the shelf life is 18 months and the “best before” date is March 31, 2027, eliminating the need for consumers to perform this calculation.
Basis for the change: GB 7718-2025 “National Food Safety Standard—General Rules for Labeling of Prepackaged Foods,” Clause 4.7.1 stipulates that the production date and the expiration date of prepackaged foods shall be clearly indicated in the order of year, month, and day; the specific format is provided in Appendix A.2. If the date is indicated by reference to a specific part of the packaging, the exact location on the packaging must be specified. For products with a shelf life of six months or longer, only the shelf life and its expiration date need to be indicated. The date markings shall be clear, conspicuous, and easily legible; they shall not be separated from the packaging or container, nor shall they be affixed, reprinted, or altered.
2. In addition to the original mandatory labeling requirements, the nutrition facts panel now includes information on saturated fat and sugar, and also features the statement: “Children and adolescents should avoid excessive intake of salt, oil, and sugar.” Please take note.
Basis for the change: GB 28050-2025 “National Food Safety Standard—General Rules for Nutrition Labeling of Prepackaged Foods,” Clause 4.1 stipulates that the mandatory nutrition labeling information for prepackaged foods shall include the content of energy, protein, fat, saturated fat (or saturated fatty acids), carbohydrates, sugars, and sodium, as well as their percentages of the Nutrient Reference Values.
4.5 Prepackaged foods shall bear the statement “Children and adolescents should avoid excessive intake of salt, oil, and sugar” below the nutrition facts panel.
This change pertains solely to the shelf life and the nutrition facts label; the product’s manufacturing process and quality standards remain unchanged, ensuring that products with both the old and new packaging are of identical quality. During the transition period, please feel free to contact us at any time via our company hotline at 400-166-1946 if you have any questions.
